By accessing or using Plated Up ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Plated Up is a recipe management application that allows you to store, organise, and manage recipes, create meal plans, generate shopping lists, and share recipes with other users.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

4. User Content

You retain ownership of recipes and other content you create on Plated Up. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

5. Recipe Import

The recipe import feature extracts recipe data from external websites for personal use. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use imported recipes. We do not claim ownership of imported content and provide this feature for convenience only.

6. Sharing and Households

• You may share your recipes with other users or household members
• You are responsible for managing who has access to your shared recipes
• Shared recipes remain your property and can be unshared at any time
• Other users may not modify recipes you have shared with them

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Impersonate another person or entity

8. Intellectual Property

The Plated Up application, including its design, features, and code, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or recipes.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
